Birdwatching
Birds in the Wild: A Mindful Birdwatching Experience
Observing birds in their natural habitat requires calm, respect and attention. We offer a fully bespoke experience, suitable for both experienced birdwatchers and those wishing to try their hand at this fascinating pastime.
We’ll guide you to the most suitable ecosystems. We can explore from the coast right up to the summit, in search of the best observation spots.
A journey through the island’s habitats
We design the itinerary according to your priorities: whether you wish to spot specific species or discover the diversity of the island’s habitats. We will place particular emphasis on searching for endemic birds, true biological treasures that you will not be able to observe anywhere else on the planet.
- Number of people: to ensure the utmost respect for birdlife and to provide the best possible birdwatching experience, we work exclusively with small groups (from 1 to a maximum of 7 people). This is a private and personalised service.
- Duration: from 4 hours to a full day.
- Difficulty: accessible for people with reduced mobility.
- Start: we begin in Santiago del Teide (Tenerife).
- Meeting point: we can also pick you up at the place where you are staying in on the island of Tenerife. Note : for other islands, contact us.
- Important: please bring walking shoes and clothing in neutral colours (green, brown, beige). Avoid white, bright or garish colours, as well as fabrics that rustle, so that you can blend into the surroundings and observe the birds without disturbing them.

Stargazing
The night in the Canary Islands offers one of the best skies on the Earth. You are fond of astronomy or you want to discover this wonder. We offer this opportunity thanks to professionals trained by the Starlight Foundation.
We go with you from the place you are staying in to see the sunset. Then we drive to a highest spot (more than 1,200 meters) to the ideal place to observe the Universe.
What could you see?
Thanks to a laser pointer, your guide will help you to find your position in this sky full of stars and other bright spots. He will tell you legends that will help you to remember the map of the constellations. If you book the service with a telescope, you will see further and understand how it works.

Hiking
The Canary Islands have a great variety of paths where you can appreciate incredible landscapes, surrounded by a unique nature. Whatever your level is, you will have the opportunity to be accompanied by trekking professionals who know the best place to go.

We adapt to your physical conditions and what you want to discover in full safety with your guide. You can walk either through luxuriant forests or almost deserts, from the sea level to the highest peak.
Thanks to his expert knowledge of the place, your guide will show you the best way. He will tell you legends and stories that will take you to other dimensions. He will explain each plant and element of the landscape that will draw your attention.
- Number of people: 1 to 7 maximum, private service. For more people request a specific quote. We limit ourselves to 15 people for each guide.
- Duration: depending on the chosen hike.
- Difficulty: accessible for people with reduced mobility. We adapt the walk to your physical conditions. We can do a trek with Joëlette. With us nature is accessible to everyone who wants to enjoy it with respect.

Hike to Teide peak
One of the most outstanding walk and requested by visitors is the hike to the highest peak of Spain at 3,715 meters high (3,718 meters was the previous measurement before December 2019). It is our main hiking activity at GuiaNatura EcoTourism. It involves a walk of 1 hour and a half (return trip) from the high station of the cable car (3,555 meters). We get your permit to access the trail in a short period of time.
Note: for a 5 hours hike from the volcano base, ask for a personalised quote.
We will go up to the high station of the cable car and we will walk to more than 3,500 meters of altitude.
- Height can have negative effects on health.
- People with heart problems and pregnant women are not admitted to the cable car.
- The activity is not recommended for people with injuries or reduced mobility.
- People with health problems should consult their doctor before starting the tour.
To access trail No. 10 in the Teide National Park, this is compulsory to show a permit that you can get here: https://www.reservasparquesnacionales.es
The permit to access is very requested and it is possible that there is no place for the days of your stay. However, we can get one for you.
- It is necessary that you give us as soon as possible your identity document number (passport or ID card) and the names and surnames that appear on it. These data will be used only to obtain the permit of access to the hike to the top of the Teide. Remember that you will have to show your original document on the day of your tour.
- We can only confirm your reservation when the permit with your name is provided by the authorities.
- If we can not confirm your reservation, we will offer you another reservation date or refund the amount paid.
- Due to the national park permit management system, once the reservation has been confirmed by us, no cancellation is allowed for any reason from 5 days before the tour time.
- IMPORTANT: It is necessary to show your identity document to access the trail.

- Duration: from 4 to 5 hours.
- Difficulty: hiking in high mountain is accessible for people with good physical condition.

Whalewatching
Whalewatching is an activity full of surprises and joy. We go sailing to see the marine fauna and, sometimes, we are surprised to find and know the amount species that are in our seas. We go out with you on board of a ship with a reduced number of people. We chose collaborators from all the islands who, not only comply with current regulations, but also actively participate in the conservation of the species.
What could you see?
Cetaceans are the marine gems of the islands. About 30 species can be observed in our seas. Besides these species targeted during the tour, we can see turtles, seabirds, fish and other surprises.
- Number of people: you will be on board a ship with a capacity that can change from 8 to 11 people depending on the collaborator that we choose together.
- Duration: from 2.5 to 5 hours with the possibility of exclusive service of the time you want.
- Difficulty: accessible for people with reduced mobility.
- Starting point: at the wharf you will embark in the western part of Tenerife.
This could be Los Cristianos (Arona), Puerto Colón (Adeje), Playa de San Juan (Guia de Isora) or Puerto Santiago (Santiago del Teide).

Horse riding
The contact with a horse is an extraordinary sensation. It helps to improve many aspects of our life. Besides discovering dreamlike landscapes, you can enjoy a sports activity with very noble animals. The monitor prepares your horse and we go out with you to the heights of the island of Tenerife.
What I am going to do?
You will learn how to handle a horse with which you will go through old paths. It will get you to discover how relaxing it is to go horseback riding listening to nature and being a part of it.

Paragliding
The paragliding flight gives you a feeling of complete freedom as if you were a bird. If you want stronger sensations, the monitors adapt to your wishes. We work with the best award-winning pilots on high-performance flights.
- We go up with you from the coast to the desired height.
- Several types of flight are possible:
- "Standard" flight from 700 to 800 meters
- "Performance" flight from 1,000 meters
- "Teide" flight from 2,000 meters
What I am going to do?
You will fly with the monitor that will carry you safely at all times. You will enjoy an extraordinary sight, as if you were an eagle. If the monitor feels that you have the ability and the wish, he will let you take control for a moment.
- Number of people: you will be comfortable during a two-seater flight with your monitor.
- Duration: the flight lasts from 20 to 45 minutes according to the take-off height and conditions.
- Difficulty: you have to run to throw yourself to fly.
- Note: the paragliders are adapted to carry people who weigh less than 100kg.
